Elvis Presley was a popular American Rock and Roll singer.
His style was partly influenced by Al Jolson and the two shared the similar goal of bringing black music to the white mainstream.
He was also one of the first male sex symbols to follow in Rudolph Valentino's footsteps. In 1965 he made a film based off of The Sheik called, Harum Scarum.
